Lets all hear it for TGIF!! I'm looking forward to the weekend! But I always look forward to the weekend. I think the weekends aren't long enough. How about a two day work week (while still getting a 40 HR wage) and a five day weekend? Who's with me??!!
After my pep talk blog to myself yesterday, I made the effort to do 93 mins on the treadmill at home last night. One of the things I did to make sure I did do it (since I missed my lunch one yesterday) was to NOT change into my "comfy" clothes (out of my jeans, shirt, bra, etc and into something loose and comfy) when I got home. Instead I changed right into my workout clothes (shorts, sports bra, and loose t-shirt). I made dinner and after hubby went to bed I hopped onto the treadmill. Not having to go change into workout stuff helped I think. In fact half way though the 93 mins...I ditched the t shirt (since it was only me and the cats..and cats have seen me naked!
) because I was hot and "dewy". I read a book (it was really 3 books..all very short..all in a series) while I did it. I burned 553 calories (per my Polar HRM).
Since I've missed my workout today too (I was in charge of the dept lunch time BBQ), I'll hop on the treadmill tonight too. And if I get an early enough start..maybe some Your Shape Fitness on the Xbox.
Another thing I did different this week from what I've been doing...weighing in twice a week instead of everyday. I think I had gotten into the mind set of seeing that I was up a pound or so and just shrugging it off as 'water" weight. I think I may do better NOT weighing everyday. We'll see how it works out. So I weighed on Monday and again today...I was down 2 lbs! (knock on wood). The BIG test comes this weekend. Will my new outlook hold true though the weekend? Weekends are really hard for me. I'll let you know on Monday!
The BBQ at work went well. We used all the burgers and dogs from the Team Building in the Park last week. We had a few dogs left (they were cooked), so they were put in the break room. The engineers on the other side of our building will eat anything that's free.
I had one plain, cooked dog and some mixed melon for lunch. And a small ice cram float (half scoop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla and half a cup of Dr Pepper). I'll be about 1000 calories for the day. That leaves me with about 600 for the rest of the day..doable as long as I'm careful.

I'm going to try and do a video blog using my phone or tablet. I want to see if I can use one or the other to do my blog from Hawaii. So bear with me if you see a funky looking video blog!
