almost passed out this morning on my walk

Friday, May 09, 2014

I had a very scary occurrence happen to me. This a.m. I had blood drawn( 6 vials.) I had to fast all night which wasn't as bad as I predicted. Anyhow immediately after the blood draw I ate a think thin chunky peanut butter protein bar and a huge water then sipped some unsweetened ice tea. After i took my daughter to preschool I decided i would try and get a quick walk in. It was only a mile and a half but when i went uphill I started getting very lightheaded and everything started getting dark. I stopped and took deep breaths and had some more water. Im wondering if it was because of the blood draw? I feel fine now I came home and had a slice of cheddar cheese and a bit of apple.

You pinned it right girl....6 vials is enough to throw you off. Some people can handle it and some can't. First of all fasting can give you the same symptoms let alone get 6 vials of blood on top. Let me suggest next time to wait a few hours and have eaten a full meal, wait about 1-2 hours after eating (so the nutrition can get in your body) and lots and lots of water. Then go for that work out.
Good luck!
