Wednesday I walked 11,240 steps and yesterday 11,170. Yesterday my walk was a little slower due to sore muscles. We are going to have a strong storm soon today so that walk is out. I will at least make it to the post office after I tend to the bills. My DVD will be done too. Muscles are really sore this morning. I guess I am building muscles in my hips and legs. It is time for some upper body strength training. This will temporarily increase my weight, but the calorie consuming muscles will take care of that.
Laundry tomorrow. Up and down stairs.
The stems on the bulbs I planted yesterday are starting to stand up. A little sunshine will help them turn green. They are pale from being in the dark, poor babies. Daffodils are all in bloom and the tulips are going to be out later today or tomorrow. The rhubarb is doing nicely. I am looking forward to the strawberry rhubarb compote. Few calories and lots of fiber.
Hubby has been so busy with trimming trees and taking care of the branches that came down with the ice we had over the winter. He also has edged the garden. I am not the only one with sore muscles this morning.
It is healthy for both of us to keep moving. Sometimes a little slowdown is necessary though. The storm should make sure he has a day of rest that he needs.
The flowers and bulbs we planted will appreciate the rain too.
