Personally, each day is a day to fight for good health. I work extra hard to not slip up because I know how tough it is to get back.
But usually around the holidays, I allow myself things I enjoy, ie : dessert. I guess you could say it should be "allowed." I believe it is, but it's those left overs that creep over into the house sometimes.
My plan after these times is always......GET THE FOOD OUT. and I do.. I send it out the door or I throw it away.
I hit the gym regularly... 5 days a week to burn it off, and I start guzzling the water. Once those pounds creep they are especially difficult for me to get off.. I'm a slow loser.
Then I make a plan to avoid extra sugar and savor the thought "Til the next holiday, then I can have some."
