I'm Changing My Name to Scatterbrained.

Last year, two friends and I had a little Tuesday night running club. It was fun. It was a nice, slow, easy pace to accommodate the one woman there who was slower than me. (And I didn't even think that was a thing aside from perhaps elderly ladies with mobility issues!)

This year, we've decided to resume our Tuesday night running club. Except the slower one hasn't been able to make it yet, so it's just me and Speedy Gonzalez busting out anywhere from 2-4 miles.

Oh, right, and I go to boot camp in the mornings now. So it's Two-fer Tuesday. Double the pleasure, double the fun? Double the torture, double the reward? I'm hoping.

Anyway, last night I got home from the run - already sore from boot camp and about to be sorer from the run - and went to take a shower.

ONLY ONCE I WAS IN THE SHOWER did I realize I still had my hair in a pony tail and I was still wearing a sports bra.

Seriously?

I laughed about it and went on with my night. I always pack up my gym bag at night with my clothes for the next day, and then I put my gym shoes on top of the bag so that when I go downstairs I put them on and grab my regular shoes to put in the bag (bedroom on 3rd floor, shoes on 1st). It's a foolproof plan!

Until this morning. I went to boot camp, went to the gym to stretch and shower, put my clothes on, and then realized I forgot shoes.

SHEESH.

Thankfully, J has the day off today so I was able to recover and have him bring me a pair of shoes before my earliest meeting.

But really, brain. Step it up already.

    At least once a week I go stand in the shower at the pool with my glasses still on. And before I cut off my hair I did the ponytail thing all the time.

    My shoe strategy is to wear walking sandals to walk to work, and to leave 3-4 pairs of dressier shoes in my bottom desk drawer, although truth be told, I usually leave the sandals on all day, because, Africa.

    I've done the shoe thing before, too! At least you didn't take it as a reason to skip your workout.
