Still at it

Wednesday, May 07, 2014

Eating has gotten better, avoiding junk more and going for whats in the house. Calories have been higher still. I really can't imagine staying at 2000 right now. My issue is that I need to eat every few hours or I feel sick. So by dinner time I am usually sitting at around 1400 calories. My ending total is 2200-2400. I am super active at work. Last week I got 15k steps just during my shift. I had this horrible dream last night that I was eating endless garbage and I looked in the mirror and I looked bloated and my complexion was horrible from it. Wake up call dream.

I woke up late for WERQ this morning but I drug myself out of bed and to class anyway. Better late than never! I finally told my teacher and she was excited. I kinda figured I should tell her since I am in her class twice a week and probably just good she knows. I kinda hate telling me in person. It's awkward and then they hug you and I hate hugging people lol I will probably mention it on fb next week to avoid more hugs in person. One of my friends from college just announced her pregnancy last night, she's a week behind me.

Scott is going to Oklahoma for his brothers graduation this week. His brother just turned 27 and is getting his PhD in Psychology and already has a job lined up in the DC area. So I opted to work this Saturday so I can be home with him Sunday. Saturday will be like the busiest day of the year for my job. Hopefully the day zooms by this past week has been, it's been insane. Almost like spring just came this week and everyone wants to plant right now! Good and bad I guess.

A friend of a friend cuts hair and I had her come over last night and cut Scott and my hair. Even the dogs like her, which is no easy feat. She usually works in a salon but figured out that making house calls makes her a lot more money. She only charges 20 for womens cuts and 15 for mens. When I booked her at a salon her cuts were 45 for womens. So I hope she keeps coming to houses! Plus I can use the hair she cuts off to sprinkle in my garden and keep the bunnies away. I lack the energy to take photos at this point in time.

Well that's whats happening on my end. Have a good week!

UGH - that hugging sucks. I get it on the other end...the endless questions of why no kids, finally (depending on how I feel) I might give them a hint of an idea of what's going on...then the hugs come. Ugh. My fertility will not improve because you pressed your stinky, hot body awkwardly against me in the middle of the clinic. So annoying!

Are you planning a creative announcement on FB? As you know, when the time comes for me, I won't...I'll probably just finally post a pic when the kid graduates from college, lol. But I have always thought of creative ways to announce it - mostly to my family...ultrasound photo, picture of Zvika and I with a "Plus 1", or something like that...I don't know. I think it would be fun. I might change my mind if if the opportunity arises... :)

OMG - with all of your baking...something about a different kind of bun in the oven?

I'm totally have a bubble. I hug mostly just family or perhaps a friend I won't see for a very long time. That's about it. So I get it.

That's a great deal with the haircuts!

The focus is on good nutrition for the baby, and not to worry about the weight gain. I think it slows down after a while.

Hair keeps bunnies out of plants and gardens? Weird!

You are burning more calories now with the caloric needs of the baby, exercising , and and a new job with lots of physical activity. And warding off nausea is really important. I had it bad.

I like hugs except from strangers or men. I feel awkward when men hug me.

It is actually hot here! I am disappointed in the commercial growers plant selection this year. Most of the local nurseries have been put out of business by Wal-mart and the plants there are all neglected and stressed. I like impatiens and they don't have any of the brightly colored ones. Just the pale washed out ones and I won't buy those. I usually grow my own from seed but didn't think I would need to. WRONG!

I think the home hair cut is a great idea. Eliminates a lot of overhead so that she pass the savings on to customers.

Good job, you're doing fabulous! 2200-2400 isn't gonna hurt you, you need it for the baby and you are getting a LOT of activity. I hope you have a great weekend. :)

I've never heard of sprinkling hair to keep the bunnies away...is it the scent that deters them? I've tried used kitty litter with much success. Good job wrestling yourself out of bed and getting to WERQ!
