The Burning Question Of The Day Is....

Spaghetti noodles..the calories per serving on the box of noodles...is that dry or after they cook? We all know things weigh more wet then dry. So when the box says 180 calories per 2 oz..is that wet or dry? emoticon I made spaghetti last night and weighed my portion after cooking it and before saucing it. I had a little over 5 oz on my plate. So does that mean I had 2.5 servings? Or could that mean I had what amounts to 1 serving dry? emoticon Input PLEASE!

Like I said above...we had spaghetti last night. I think I did OK. I weighed the noodles (wet..see above), had a cup of sauce on it (this consisted of Hunts canned sauce, ground beef, onions, mushrooms, and some butter). Then later in the evening..1/2 cup of Bluebell ice cream. emoticon

I have no idea what we're having tonight. I have ground beef thawed in the fridge..maybe meat loaf? Have to see when I get home. emoticon

So I think that's all for today...have a great rest of Tuesday!!

And an extra today....

Ooo! A cup of tea sounds so good right now. Too bad it's so close to bedtime. I love Irish Breakfast Tea. That's a good question about the spaghetti. I always just figured it was a dry measure as it says like 6 servings per box. So if you divided the dry noodles into six even piles you'd have your servings. Right? You can get this serving measurer for pasta at Bed Bath & Beyond (and I'm sure other places) where it has different size holes to put it in. You'd have to do that dry. Been gonna get me one of those things... Might have to ask for one for MD... Hugs, Calen~
