Hi Sparkers! My name is HOLLY, because it was December, close to Christmas when they found me, and my one little baby. The baby didn't make it, and I almost didn't; but a nice lady was very patient with me. I was so scared I couldn't eat, couldn't drink and couldn't even go to the bathroom. She hydrated me and took care of all my needs, and after 3 days of that, I learned to pull myself together and do it myself.
The world is cruel, and I am little, only weighing in at 6 pounds, even though I am a fully grown cat. Anyway, this lady has taken care of me for almost 6 months, and to me, the home she offered was a little bit of heaven, because the only other life I knew was much worse.
Now I have a new Mom -- she took me to her place this morning, told me this would be my furr-ever home. She talked to me all the way home! First I was meowing very loud, then I quieted down and listened to her talk to me. I didn't meow again until she lifted my carrier -- then I was scared again, wondering what would happen next.
But as she lifted me out of the carrier, it wasn't scary any longer. She layed down with me on a big (really big) bed and petted me and talked to me. I stretched my neck out as far as it would go, and looked around. It was pretty, smelled good, and I felt almost safe and I walked around on the soft blankets and piles of pillows.
She walked out of the room then, and later when I heard her come back in I burrowed down under the pillows. No one can see me, but I like it here, and I think this is what she meant when she told me about my furr-ever home!
I hope I get to stay here furrever! Love, Holly -- more pix later!
