Holly's New Home (and MY new Kitty)

Tuesday, May 06, 2014

Hi Sparkers! My name is HOLLY, because it was December, close to Christmas when they found me, and my one little baby. The baby didn't make it, and I almost didn't; but a nice lady was very patient with me. I was so scared I couldn't eat, couldn't drink and couldn't even go to the bathroom. She hydrated me and took care of all my needs, and after 3 days of that, I learned to pull myself together and do it myself.

The world is cruel, and I am little, only weighing in at 6 pounds, even though I am a fully grown cat. Anyway, this lady has taken care of me for almost 6 months, and to me, the home she offered was a little bit of heaven, because the only other life I knew was much worse.

Now I have a new Mom -- she took me to her place this morning, told me this would be my furr-ever home. She talked to me all the way home! First I was meowing very loud, then I quieted down and listened to her talk to me. I didn't meow again until she lifted my carrier -- then I was scared again, wondering what would happen next.

But as she lifted me out of the carrier, it wasn't scary any longer. She layed down with me on a big (really big) bed and petted me and talked to me. I stretched my neck out as far as it would go, and looked around. It was pretty, smelled good, and I felt almost safe and I walked around on the soft blankets and piles of pillows.

She walked out of the room then, and later when I heard her come back in I burrowed down under the pillows. No one can see me, but I like it here, and I think this is what she meant when she told me about my furr-ever home!

I hope I get to stay here furrever! Love, Holly -- more pix later!

What a beautiful cat! We have "adopted" all of ours too - six total, three still living. All were former strays or staying at the vet's waiting to be adopted. You'll have to tell us more about her too!

I enjoyed reading your creative take on the blog. Thanks for sharing!

My oh my, Eve. What a splendid little beauty!!! So sorry her baby didn't make it, but God put you there to save at least one of them!! How does Amber do with her? ( And she with Amber?) And don't you have other kitties, too? How's the family getting on?
Wish I could be there......for many reasons, but I'd really love to meet your extended critter family!! (I feel like I've known you for absolutely years!!)
Stay well and send my love to al the critters, too!! (((HUGS)))

I'm sure you'll enjoy your new family member as much as she enjoys you. How are your other furry family members taking the addition of a new sister? Looking forward to more pictures.
