Doing better despite the recent numbers

It's been a rough month or so and just as my weight was going down, it popped back up again. But fortunately, that's not the end of the story, I've gotten back on track.
I haven't quite implemented everything quite like I last blogged, but I think that's okay because I accomplished the ends, even if the means weren't precise.
I've been eating well over this past week and although I've missed today's swimming workout, I'm still wearing my pedometer trying to make the most of that.
So perhaps it's not perfection, but it's a step in the right direction.
It's helped that I have been trying to get up a little early some days -- of course which means I must go to bed before 7 a.m. as I've occasionally been known to do -- even 8 a.m. sometimes.
That's hard to maintain though -- staying up that late -- so late that the sun's already come up for the next day.
It's taken it's toll, but I'm trying to take the toll back.
I've started eating breakfast again. I've changed my usual lunch out for a lower-sodium option.
I've been more public with my weight loss journey. Accountability makes a difference sometimes.
And my food this past week has been tracked in advance and I've stuck to my plans.
Hopefully this is the beginning of me staying on track for once. I feel this time's different, so maybe it will be.
