my dear deer friend

Monday, May 05, 2014

Got out for my noontime walk. Instead of sitting on my butt in the lunch room, I walked 2 miles. It was a bit gloomy and threatening rain, but I pushed on. My dear deer friend was closely watching me as I walked past.

I must say I felt great afterwards.

A couple more miles and I will have my fitbit total for the day. It is clearing a little outside, no longer a threatening gray - but a brighter gray. Looking forward to a quick walk with my son befroe dinner. So there you shame gremlins in my head --- I AM DOING THIS!!!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! We're all fighting those voices in our heads, and it's great to know that others are winning on days that I'm losing. Have a wonderful day!

Nice that you had your dear deer friend. Great job on getting out for your walk. I was out for my run on Sunday through the neighborhood and came across some big geese each on one side of the path, I chose to run between them and they started hissing at me - I got a little nervous but they left. Next time I'll choose to go on the street and go around them.

Way to go! I would choose to see this as a "There's your sign!" that you were doing EXACTLY what you should be doing. Yay, you!

Awesome - I love hearing the success stories, especially the small ones - getting in a walk at lunch, getting that much closer to the goal - it inspires me to do the same. Best of luck on your fitness journey!
