Monday, Monday.

Trying to keep my stuff together today. Why do Mondays always feel so unbalanced?

Bad news this morning. My dad's wife's family has had another blow, a double one this time. His brother in law was diagnosed with a tumor wrapped around his spine between his shoulder blades. He's in intensive care right now dealing with an infection issue. His lovely wife begins aggressive breast cancer treatment this Thursday. Just the sweetest people. Why does this crap always happen to the good ones and the rotten get left alone? Seems that way. emoticon

Only good part of the day has been the gym. Nice to just focus on what I'm doing and let my mind have a rest from everything else. I had a lesson on the TRX which is a bodyweight system. Deceptively hard! So I did my regular workout then had another full workout. I am feeling it, but it's a nice calm body feeling if that makes sense.

Then it was off to pathology for some blood work for a specialist visit. I swear she vampired about a litre out of me! Twas' a bit too much on top of that hard workout. I've been goofy and weak all the rest of the day. Add sewing for an hour in bright glary sunlight....I want my new glasses. There was a big screw-up done...someone either neglected to add the prisms in the lenses or didn't know how and thought they'd get away with it. I had to call today as it's almost two weeks since the new order was put in. Why the heck couldn't they call ME? Anyway, going in tomorrow and if the lenses aren't right this time, I'm going to get a refund and go elsewhere.

I have an oven again! Yay! This means tasty tasty yummy roasted veggies for dinner....potato, carrot and brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper and my magic ingredient, smoky paprika. I have a feeling this will fix what ails me today. emoticon

Food never fixes anything except hunger. The idea that it does is one of the major reasons we are so overweight.

As to your news today about your extended family members: My condolences. That's rough news. "bad" people also get sick.

Since you are seeing a specialist I am assuming something is up in that area.
