North Myrtle Beach and PICKLEBALL

Thursday, May 01, 2014

North Myrtle Beach was a fun place to be active in the days surrounding the Diva race. Their community center had awesome pickle ball courts. As you can see, the courts are like tennis only smaller.

The extra white line right in front of the net and parallel to it is the "kitchen" you can't volley inside that line. This game is becoming very popular with retirees and "snowbirds". But my husband and I were playing with my daughter and her friend (the girl in the pic) and they LOVED it. My son played with us this past winter and he loved it, too.

This isn't my husband. He is a member of the NMB pickle ball club and you can see that they take this sport seriously.

I think you can see the paddle up close here, too and the plastic ball.
We also loved running on the beach. My daughter has pictures on her camera. I may post them next year when she gets around to sending them to me.
