Plan for May

Thursday, May 01, 2014

My plan for May is to:

1. Weigh in every day (that I am home).

As my sister would say "This keeps me honest."

2. Knock off the binging and get a Binge Free streak going.

I have had some rough patches in my life and crumbled, but I have to get a grip. Binging only makes my stress WORSE.

3. Give the lemon and cayenne beverage a try in the morning.

I tried this for the first time this morning. AWFUL. Maybe I used too much cayenne? It DID make me drink more water before I even had my coffee. I'm not sure if I believe the hype about this drink boosting your metabolism and removing the toxins, blah, blah, blah, BUT I'm keeping an open mind and giving it a whirl.

4. Track every day - Aim for 1200 - 1700 daily average.

Nothing more to add to this other than it is pretty simple. Eat less calories and you lose weight. The trick is you have to actually DO THIS.

5. Drink more water.

6. Make a conscious effort to get more activity in.

This is secondary to getting my eating under control, but I still need to address it.

7. Most importantly: Follow my own advice.

Good plan Connie but I think weighing everyday just puts you on a roller coaster...but maybe that's me. I have just read something about stabilizing blood sugar and just lemon in hot water was good...plus they liked cinnamon which I think is a treat in plain yogurt.

Knowing what you have to offer because of what you have accomplished and who you have become reminds you of how important you are to yourself and to others. Focus on being abundant and feeling prosperous. This is also your week to wake up and smell the coffee, the earth, the flowers and savoring your food. Get reacquainted with your earthly self and bring your attention closer to the material world and you’ll feel renewed.

emoticon Try adding Grade B maple syrup, a couple of tablespoons to your lemon water~ I did this with a cayenne capsule 'n boy howdy! I thought the top of my head would blow off & I was redder than a beet! HA! Recommended by a li'l witch doctor I used to frequent~ it heats up your metabolism all right~ if it didn't blow my top! Hahahahaha~

Consistency is the key. Ditch the binge foods. If they're not in the house, I can't eat 'em. *hugs* BB~ emoticon emoticon

I tried the lemon and cayenne detox for a day once and I decided that I would never do it again. It tasted disgusting.
Here is to a great May.
