Five THINGS I BET YOU DIDNT KNOW ABOUT GOOD POSTURE !
1 . Taking a " Power Posture " two minutes in a power poseóarms and legs stretched outóspikes a personís testosterone and drops their cortisol. It works for both genders. Itís the ratio thatís important. I dont know if I want to increase my testosterone but I would like to decrease the cortisol ! lol.
2. We all know that if you slouch your back will hurt but did you know that also your arms . legs shoulders and knees hurt also because they are trying to take up the slack that should be on the spine !
3. Having good posture help increase mental awareness . When you are focusing on your posture you are using the part of the brain that is called SELF MONITORING ! Let me give you an example ! When do we mostly concentrate on our posture ? A business meeting , an interview . going out on a date with someone we are attracted to in other words Important moments ! Those are times when we want to look our best and feel alert ! Improving our posture all the time will increase our feeling that we are attractive and what we are doing is important which may even stop us from eating that second helping !
4.Good posture can reduce stress ! Often times when we are stressed or distressed we slump over which restricts our digestion and also our breathing and makes our organs misaligned ! All leading to more depression ! So stand up straight , take a deep breath and see how wonderful you look !
5. Good Posture increases your HOTNESS ! Yep thats right ! You know how birds go for the ones with the biggest plumage or brightest colors ? Or Moose look for the biggest antlers or dewlap ! You will be sending out the attraction pheromones if you just straighten it up ! Women tend to have this problem more then men ! Women often want to appear smaller so they crouch or slump but no no ladies , exude self confidence and strut your stuff this month !
