Here it is - Wednesday already (or finally, I'm not sure which)
So, here's the update on my week.
Saturday and Sunday I exercised (Saturday weights + C25K; Sunday C25K). Took Monday and Tuesday off... well, I walked the dogs Tuesday for 1.5 miles.
Wednesday - already got in weights and C25K this morning.
Eating, started Sunday eating better - more fruits/veggies, less flour, sugar. Monday was strong - Tuesday was less so, but still WAY better than last week, so still a win.
Today has started out not as good (didn't get my green smoothie for breakfast)... but I have fruits and veggies for snacks and no sugar at work. So long as someone doesn't bring in cookies or something else evils, I should be good until I get off work at least!
As I mentioned yesterday, I'm heading to the Grand Canyon for work and I'm so excited. I have been there, but I was super small, so I just have a vague memory. I'm looking forward to some good hiking exertion (and the women I'm hiking with are super power women, so I'm just hoping not to be the weak link). I'm also hoping for cool weather (for AZ)... since I am so not used to heat... but I'll take what I can get!
This weekend we have the Raining Colors 5K race (I posted photos last year - super fun!)... and my 7 year old son is going to do it with me this year. So, I'll be a little slower - since his legs have to work harder and he's not a distance runner - he does really well with about 1/3 of a mile, then slows down. But it will be fun and I'm excited to have him do a fun run with me.
Anyway, my goals for this week were:
to exercise 5 times - I've made 3.5 and it's only Wednesday!
Eat 5 F/V's daily - no problem Monday/Tuesday... might struggle a little today
Reduce sugars - done! Each day has been better than the best day last week.
