Feeling jazzed!

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

I went home last night from work feeling wiped out. So I took a nap and had a super healthy dinner and then went for a 5.5 mile run walk.

Instead of listening to my stiff calves, I listened to my gut that wanted to get out and get some miles... it was great. It really showed me again what I know at gut level.... if I *DON'T* MOVE, I will rust into place. I was a little stiff after the run, but I took some naproxen and went to bed... slept great and woke up not stiff at all.

I am still feeling some cramping in my R calf where I had the muscle pull, but it's taking ever longer distances before it rears its ugly head... and it is getting milder. My L knee (where this all started) is improving too. I just needed a spark to get back on the road. I am just so glad that I'm back out there... I missed running in so many ways that I can't even begin to express. I am adopting a new mantra... "Run Rain or Shine". It's the only way to do this without a treadmill... and that is what hats and rain jackets are for.

Rain... BAH!!
