Camp WannaBeFit - Week 2 Reflections on Camp activities

CLEANER EATING:
Successes:
I had seven straight days of recording absolutely everything I ate (and drank). This is a biggie for me!
Challenges:
I fell down on the "no obvious white sugar" with the Easter eggs in sight, but they are gone now, so I was able to get points on my last day. I was at a ladies' night though on that last day, where there was a cupcake table as well as a candy table --- and because I wanted to get at least one day with points, I was able to resist all the sugar. Without this challenge going on, it would have been a different (and nastier) story.

CARDIO:
Fitness Walking: 11 miles, and it was a rainy week!
Bicycling: 12 miles, still indoors on my stationary bike.
Running: 11 miles, missed a day when it was a rain/snow/high wind

KICKING CLUTTER & CHAOS TO THE CURB:
Successes:
My nightly clean sink happened all 7 evenings. My declutting for 15 minutes a day was 6 days out of 7. The grocery shopping once a week is pretty easy for me, as I work full time the same hours as the grocery store is open, so Saturday is my day. Laundry is a task I don't mind to do, so those are easy points for me.

PROCRASTINATION TASKS:
Sunday I WILL: launder and put away toques, mittens, scarves, etc ✔=Done
Monday I WILL: bring my flute out of storage and clean it ✔=Done
Tuesday I WILL: wash kitchen cupboard door faces ✔=Done
Wednesday I WILL: wash bathroom cupboard door faces ✔=Done
Thursday I WILL: clean out bathroom drawer
Friday I WILL: go through books & donate unwanted's to library ✔=Done
Saturday I WILL: wash plant leaves (Blech)
I didn't get the plant leaves washed yesterday, so I moved that task to this week, and it's already done now. It's a fake ivy, and I can't remember when I last washed every leaf on it. Definitely was procrastinating on that one, but glad to have it done.

STRENGTH TRAINING:
Got in three good days last week. Still working on making this better.

YOGA:
Started a yoga class this week with a friend. It is on the same night as my art class (which is every second week), so I will only get there every other week, but it felt great, and I'm going to keep going.

BOOK CLUB:
I didn't get my whole book read this week, but I'm almost to the end of it, so should finish it up early this week.

CONNECTIONS:
This week, I added in a couple random acts of kindness for people I work with. I spent at least a half hour each day working on my crocheting, and am very happy to report that I finished my neck cowl (and even wore it to work on Wednesday), and have a good start on a baby blanket. I meditated six days out of the seven, and am still really enjoying this alot. I had a thought yesterday, that being distracted while learning how to meditate, is kind of like the walking part of a running program. Being distracted is not what meditation is all about, but then walking is not running either. And both are a very real part of the learning process. We can't run until we can walk, and the walking helps us with the running. Well I think we won't be able to meditate until we can face the distractions, and facing the distractions helps to bring me back to the breathing and meditation.

ART OF SELF REFLECTION:
Pick three habits you want to establish:
1). In bed by 10:05 PM each night
2). Track all my food
3). Plan dinner in the morning before leaving for work.
We had an awesome week in camp as we all had to make a draft of several paragraphs related to our number one habit we want to establish. Then we also were to comment and support each other. There was so much insight and support this week, it was wonderful. Thanks to a fellow camper, JoAnn, I am now setting an alarm 20 minutes before bedtime to allow myself to shut down from my computer / crocheting / reading / puzzles, and to get myself ready for bed. This has been a tremendous help, and I had a good week.
