We missed Friday's walk, my daughter had to switch her hours around at work, so she brought our grandson at 5 am. I have to give it to Aiden, he is cheerful, even that early in the morning. It helped having his favorite breakfast ready; oatmeal with peanut butter and brown sugar. He would eat it every day if we let him.
I had a 9:30 meeting down town with the new manager of the store that carries my jewelry and came away totally impressed with the woman. If anyone can make that store profitable, it is her. My husband is off on Friday's and kept Aiden busy while I was gone.
My daughter got off early and we went across town and took my son for a haircut and then out for a meal. Before we knew it, the day was gone.
This morning my husband and I were treated to cooler temps and a rare sighting of a Javelina on our morning walk. Normally they like to travel in packs, and can be very aggressive; they are known to bite. We enjoyed the animal from a safe distance delighting in his jaunty trot and happy to see something other than rabbits, bats, birds and the occasional dead snake.
My day was spent working with the copper clay making earrings, moon pendants and trying new patinas. We opened every window in the house, letting in all that cool wind and we were treated to another rarity, RAIN! Not record setting rain, but a nice steady wetness that hung around for a couple of hours and made everything smell good. All in all, a very nice day.
