Well Mom went to the er today...but home now

Saturday, April 26, 2014

They said she has sleep apenia and thats why she has had this coughs waking herself up fgrom not breathing. She has to sleep sitting up now. She has to go to a pulmanary dr. THe er doc asked her when she started to gain weight, she blamed it on working at McDonalds and the milkshakes. Didnt bother to tell them she has a huge stash of candy and eats 5gals of icecream in a week or less.

Mom has an appointment with the pulmonary dr next week. Then they will go from there to the next step. They are making her sleep upright. Thank you for the all for the support!

Has your Mum been referred to a sleep clinic to check the benefits of a sleep machine, or nightly oxygen or something?
I hope things improve a bit, and soon.

Sounds like she needs a sleep machine. Maybe this will be a wake up call for her.

I hear how worried you are. I also hear that you are frustrated with mom's behavior and lack of candor. Sending you a emoticon
Work out hard to get some of the stress worked out. I do lots of thinking when I am working out. Problem solving etc. Maybe you can come up with some good approaches to take with your Mom. Just remember the only person YOU can change is YOURSELF. emoticon
