Things have been going pretty well for the past few days. I haven't been following everything to a T, but I wake up every morning feeling energized and seeing improvements. It's not easy but I'm working at it!
I followed the diet plan for all of Day 3 (plus my typical additions to get the right amount of calories) and most of Day 4. However, last night (Friday night) my husband and I decided to get Mexican food for dinner. We can be pretty big enablers for each other when it comes to indulging, so we have a once a month rule about our favorite Mexican restaurant. Experience has taught me that if I'm going to make this a lifestyle change, it can't be overly restrictive otherwise it won't stick! So I had a delicious dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Today, Day 5, I woke up back to the weight I was on Day 2. But that's okay by me. I know that I am making progress. So far I have been back on track with the diet plan today, but I do have a party to go to tonight. I don't think I will be eating anything off-plan but I will most definitely be drinking. I am going to try my best to stick with just one beer for the evening.
I have only done the cardio portion one day this week (Day 2). My calves were so sore the next few days! I went running on the days that I didn't do the cardio portion, but I would like to try the cardio bit again soon because I know my muscles will get used to the routine. Today I did an 8 mile run through the hills and it was tough! I also started writing down how many reps I can do for each of the leg exercises so I can make sure to hold myself accountable during the video.
