Don't be fooled by the date stamp on the other entry from "today"....it was in fact written just after midnight last night (Friday night).

255.3 this morning! Woohoo! That means 5lbs gone in the last 8 days. I have no idea why/how it's coming off this fast, as I'm eating 1600-1700kcal a day, haven't been exercising because I've been home sick and then now home with sick kiddo, and drinking plenty of water (8-10 cups a day, plus a couple cups of tea and almond milk).

I don't expect it to continue to come off this fast, but boy is it nice to have this kick start! Getting down to 235lbs by 4th of July (-20lbs in the next 10 weeks) suddenly feels reachable, especially if I can get back to the 20 min walk I've been taking almost every day at work, and some bike rides on the weekends when my son is with his dad. He's only home with me this weekend because he has a younger stepsister and half brother at his dad's house and we wanted to prevent them getting his hand-foot-mouth disease....see last night's blog post. He's starting to feel better, though!

Progress feels oh-so-sweet.

    emoticon Well, it is good to see the pounds dropping off even if they are fast. It may slow down but you just may meet your goal by the 4th of July.
