Tomorrow will make a full week of being 'back at it,' and boy, have I found out just exactly how out of shape I am! It's funny - you can convince yourself that you haven't let it slide THAT bad...until you start trying to DO stuff again, lol!
This week I started strength training again. A pitiful little effort two days a week, but hey, ya gotta start somewhere. I guess I can take *some* solace that I used 8 lb weights, considering I had to build up to even use 5 lb ones when I very first started. I was pretty darned sore after my first little workout, though. Then - softball for the first time in forever. If I thought ST made me sore, OMG, softball did it in spades!
Today I got back on the bike for the first time since the weather broke for spring. I could not believe how hard it was to push those pedals. My 'normal' route is about 10.5 miles, and when I last rode I would hop on the bike any ole time & do that. Today, when I got 3 miles in I decided to turn around and call it a day with 6 miles. Bet I'm gonna be sore again tomorrow.

Fortunately, all this feeling pitiful & sore has steeled me to continue on. I just cannot be this wimpy. This does not compute!
Tomorrow, if I get up the nerve, I'm going to the batting cage. I could definitely use some practice before the next game Monday. Of course, this depends on me being able to move tomorrow!
