Saturday morning and I was being a couch-potato catching up with computer stuff. In the middle of doing a lot of deleting etc., I decided to check on the local weather. There was a big green and yellow blob of rain headed our way across the doppler radar. After clicking animate and replay several times, I unscientifically tried to calculate if the dog and I could get in a walk without getting wet.
At that point, I gave myself the old motivation speech "just go and do a few minutes then you can come home." Before my inner brat could argue, I jumped up, threw on my sneakers and rain jacket and off we went.
There were a few light sprinkles as we reached our initial target so I convinced myself to go "just a little further." And then - again! At that point the drops were making their way to the ground through our still leaf-less trees so we just walked a little faster. The results? A pretty decent walk at a pretty good clip and we didn't even get (too) wet.
I've pulled this "trick" on myself so often you would think I would eventually catch on!!???
I'm sure this "trick" is familiar to you too so...
