Need Motivation

Saturday, April 26, 2014

I am always tired, because my baby wakes up 3 times during the night. This prevents me from making healthy food choices. I don't have time to exercise either.

Sleep when your baby sleeps, forget about things like house work and such. While the baby is still waking through the night, it is important you get enough rest. If you have family or friends who want to help, tell them what you need, healthy meals or someone to shop for you or things like that. With those tasks taken off your shoulders, you will have time to eat the healthy meals and do the things you need to do. Fit you exercise in in short periods (10 mins here and 10 mins there).

I know right now it seems there is no end in sight but with a little help, you can do it. Believe in yourself and lean on your friends. You Can Do IT!

A year ago I was going through the same thing. It's hard, is there anyone that can help you cook? your mom, friend etc? I recommend wearing a baby wrap or carrier and carry him around with you. I did that with my girl and was able to get some good walks in where she wouldn't cry. Also I would set her in a baby chair or bouncer and was able to get some cooking in. As for night time..are you breast feeding? Can you pump before bed so that when he wakes up you have some and can go back to sleep right away? They will eventually start sleeping through the night! Hang in there and you can get a schedule set again soon!

It's not easy with a little one because you're really sleep deprived. I remember everyone telling me to rest when mine slept but I used that time to do everything that needed to be done and of course was dragging. In retrospect, I would have bounced back faster if I had let other things slide and rested. You'll find a routine that works for you. Meanwhile, enjoy your baby because they really grow up way too fast.

This can be really hard on a person. If you don't have other children try sleeping when the baby sleeps to get better rest. If you get some rest you will be better focused to do the other things needed.

Also you need to design a program that fits with your lifestyle. Think when do you have the most energy and work from there. I'm sorry your having such a hard time. Just don't give up. Keep plugging into spark people for encouragement. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Plan your work day around the baby, and work your plan. God Bless YOU! Vic.
