Tonight I did a practice walk. I was only planning on two miles but once I got moving I decided to see how long it would take to complete a 5k. Well it took me 70 minutes at a comfortable pace where I could still converse with my walking mate. So I didn't break any speed records, but after stretching at the end other than my feet being a little sore, I feel very good about it. One tiny step toward the mini triathlon I am working towards in August. It is the 10k bike ride that is going to cause me the biggest issue. If I have to go up a hill of any size I end up wheezing. Lots of work to do before August.
