Friday Catch-up

Friday, April 25, 2014

It's been a busy week and I was planning to catch up with my SparkFriends & Teams today . . . but DH took an unscheduled day off and we have to go back into the city (we had the car serviced) so that'll take all day.

Anyway, I'm doing great.... down 3 pounds.

Nutrition: I've changed my eating plan, reducing carbs so that most of my carb intake comes in it's original packaging (fruit, etc.) rather than refined stuff. And I can tell the change is good as I'm already feeling better. This is an attempt to ward off the pre-diabetes curse.

Exercise: The Yoga & Qi Gong and walking/joggaling is really making a difference. Can't always do the elliptical but I am committed to the 10 minutes aerobics twice a day . . . even if it's as simple as making laps inside my house like yesterday when the rain kept me inside.

I'm missing keeping up with your blogs & team posts . . . . What's going on with you???

    You are doing well!!!

I wish I could say the same. My wellness program has suffered greating since my 89 year old Mom came to stay. She's with me until my sister can sell her house, and then find a new place for her and Mom to live. My weight is stable, buy my physical aches and pains have worsened and my emotional health is suffering, so I've had to return to the Dr. and go back on most of my medications "for now". I felt at one point I was going to break down, but crawled back up. Mom is settling in now and our routines are starting to work better.

One day I'll blog when I get time.. right now I feel overwhelmed with too much to do at times.

I'm happy you are doing well.. emoticon

I'm entering into that end of school year stress phase. I need to just juice for awhile, cause I'll be doing so much paper work I won't get nearly as many steps in.

Good to here! I've broken the sweet slippery slope I got on. I'm feeling good for tomorrow's 5k, supposed to be nice, mild morning.

Keep movin and groovin, always nice to "see" you!

Hope things continue on the good path!

I thought I was the only one who did walking laps inside the house when unable to get outside. Good to know someone else does that too.
