In today's fast pace world our lives are so busy and filled with "to-dos" and "must haves," which we have become so accustomed to doing or having that we have fallen into the habit of taking some of these things for granted. This week's BSG blog challenge “Showers of Blessings” ... requires us to take time to be mindful of and thankful for the blessings we do have. Below, in no particular order, are a some of my many blessings …
Life, health and strength ...
I am blessed with a good life, fairly good health, reasonable strength, and a sound mind. While my life is by no stretch of the imagination, all that I would like it to be, I am thankful for what it is.
Family and friends
I am blessed with having a loving and supportive family and dear friends including my Spark friends who are always there for me, encouraging me every step of the way and cheering me on through the good times as well as when times are bad.
Awesome Modern Technology
I am blessed to have the Internet that provides me with easy access to resources ... Smartphones, Skype, Facebook etc … that enable me to have visual/real time/face-time communication with close family members and friends who live overseas. It is also the reason that I am able to be in touch with you my Spark friends all across the globe.
I am blessed with all the natural gifts from Mother nature ... the air I breathe; water for drinking and hygienic purposes; trees for the provision of food shelter and clothing and the natural beauty of the landscape that provides me with a soothing calmness in times of stress.
There are so many more blessings that I could add to this list but to do so would make this a very, very long blog! In the interest of time, I will stop here but before I end, I must add one more blessing to the count … my daily struggles! Yes, struggles … all the hard times, my little “oops” and “oh nos” have made me stronger, smarter, and more prepared to successfully scale the next hurdle. There is a well known quote that states … “Challenges are what make life interesting; working to overcome them is what gives life meaning.”
In closing I would like to remind you all to ….....
