I have 68 days until i go home to Chicago to visit family for two weeks. I decided that over the course of these next 68 days i will form healthier habits to carry me on through my vacation time. Why? HELLO?! Chicago deep dish pizza, an abundance of puerto rican food, cuban food and desserts. The joys of Summer back home walking to the local Diary Queen with my 4 little nieces. FOOD will be everywhere and i need to ensure that i've at least placed healthy habits in my life that will guide me through 42 meals and whatever other little eating times we may have.
April 22, 2014 was Day 1:
I ate roughly 1890 calories
I burned roughly 3180 calories
I walked 4.09 miles
Before: sitting in my car...in air conditioning...
During: it's freaking hot! It's 82 degrees out right now and Texas will just continue to get hotter...
After: i thought i was melting out there...air conditioning has never felt so good!
On my route today there were so many turtles out!
This little guy wouldn't pop his head out of his shell. He just kept walking in circles. I think someone may have run him over on their bike or walked on him.
As another part of this challenge is weightloss. Here's where i stand:
Starting Weight: 319.8lbs
4/21/14 264.8lbs (-3.0lbs)
Where would i like to be in 68 days? Honestly, I'd LOVE to be in the mid 240's. But a loss, ANY loss from where i'm at now would be a victory in my book.
What are my goals for Day 2?
* walk 5 miles
* strength train for 45 minutes
* eat under 2000 calories
* burn around 3000 calories
(I use a fitbit so those calories burned are my calories burned for a 24hr period of time NOT just during my workouts)
