"Bone VS Bone"©

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

This morning, as I do every morning, I am thinking about different ways to set myself up for another successful day.Sometimes my unsuccessful days outnumber the successful days, but, I never stop thinking, plotting, and attempting to do my best to have a great day in my journey.Sometimes if I feel wishy-washy on any particular day, I think about strength and how far I have come and how much further I need to go and it all adds up for me to this:

"To have success in your journey… Use your BACKBONE!
Don't just sit around and use a WISHBONE!"
(© Paula's Thoughts)

My wish for all of us is that we will "stand up" and be strong against bad food choices that tempt us, sad/depressed days that make us feel that our journey is just "too much" to follow, urges that would tell us "it's okay just this one time" or any other negative thoughts that might come to our mind.Let's all remember together that God gave us a backbone for a reason and it can be used for more than one thing!

Have a blessed day and wonderful journey to the new you!

Hugs, emoticon

So True!!! That inner voice can be a real bummer or your hero. Just depends on which inner voice you listen to. Using our backbone is harder but makes us stronger in the long run, the wishbone is so bendable it won't stand up or support us after all it is only a wishing bone. Ha Ha love it Paula. Another Paula thought to hold on to and use on this journey.

emoticon Paula! I love using the 'backbone' instead of 'wishbone.' ........ I am applying this to an issue--past week much pain and swelling etc. in back of my head ......... and OF COURSE the devil told me: 'Brain tumor!" ......... I laughed using my backbone as he ALWAYS lies! ............ Dr. has me scheduled for an MRI later today and I am believing the Lord that it is a simple matter to remove and please leave my hair intact!! .......... emoticon Not wishing but standing on the word of God as in 91st psalm he promised LONG LIFE ............ And mine is going to go at least another chapter or two as I have MORE blogs to write!!! .......... emoticon and WILL DO IT ........ as I have a strong backbone ........ :)

great comment. I must have gotten a smaller wish bone. I just understood the anatomy of diets, they always fail. I knew everyone out there, knew about disease, new about cures, yet fighting my urges was really hard. I felt like an addict. Not to food but to my habits. I and many of us have the same problems you always talk about. I realized in order to succeed I needed a plan. That if I didn't plan to succeed, I 'd planned to fail. So I actually went to WW, and they have helped a lot. I now realize that I must journal until; I understand things, and do good things out of habit. That's how habits start. Now my eating is learning life style habits. I eat only real food, not processed, fast, or man made. that is because they are made from hidden fats, sugars, and salts. They also don't have any nutrients. I also don't drink any calories, or excessive caffeine's. I watch my salt, caffeine, and sugar intake. I binge on extra vegetables, or protein or fruit. I always have homemade soup around for that, or steam vegetables & dips. I even eat three snacks in between to keep mu blood sugar balanced, and it keeps me from spiking. Just shove vegetables into everything, and your hunger level stays normal. Hope this helps you. emoticon cause we all fall. Just remember it's more important to just keep going, and get up again. lol, eva
