After 6 months of doing almost nothing, I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to move my body more. The first week was painful as you might expect. I could barely drive home from the gym and I crawled into the bed in sweaty gym clothes because I was to tired to bathe. Week 2 wasn't much better since I worked out sporadically. Happily, I can report I may be hitting my stride this week.
Once again, I am craving my workout. Instead of summoning a kid to bring me food or drink to my office, I run up the steps. I sneak in a few extra steps by walking briskly before my training sessions. I have successfully declined multiple happy hours and offered to walk at lunch for catching up instead. My mood has improved. The only thing I haven't done is weigh myself. I don't want to get discouraged so, I am going to wait a little while longer before I step on the scale.
The best news about re-entry into the Health and Fitness game has been the support from my bestfriend, Sparkers and my Gym-mates. Being a Health & Fitness drop-out really bummed me out but, who hasn't been there? I would like to be here less and that's why I am back at this again.
I am adding positive habits slowly into my routine because this tortoise is determined to get the worm. I send you all healthy and happy wishes for success!!!!
