I have been struggling for a week or more. I couldn't seem to get my eating under control. It has been a mess for 1 1/2 months. In that time I managed to gain back 12 pounds. A SUPER SPARKFRIEND messaged me and helped to talk me through the mess and I am so happy she did. I am back on track as of today.
I tracked my food and stayed well within my calorie range. I stuck to my menu and ate well and healthy all day, including snacks. My mornings have finally calmed down and I have stopped eating junk food during the early morning hours.
I have been having a terrible time with my right knee. It started causing me great pain about a week ago in the night. It would wake me up from sleep and not stop hurting until later in the morning. In about 2 days it went from at night to all day long. It is a constant pain and very severe. I have tried heat and cold and all sorts of pain relievers, all to no avail. Saturday, I went to the ER as not only was I in great pain and could not walk, but my leg and foot were badly swollen. After an ultrasound, it was determined there were no blood clots, so that eased my mind a little, but still in great pain. The ER doctor suggested more arthritis but it is not like any arthritis I have anywhere else. I have an appt. with my GP on Thursday. My BFF is taking me in her car. I also go for an appt. with a therapist on Thursday morning about my walker. With this new problem, I will likely qualify for government aid with buying my walker. I hope to get it Thursday too. I am laid up until that time as I can just hobble to the bathroom right now.
But all this aside, I am still in good spirits. I have only been getting a little bit of sleep on and off during the days and nights due to the pain but I am okay.
It feels good to be back in the drivers seat and on my way to a healthier end to the month.
My birthday is on Saturday, so, I have asked for whole wheat banana/chocolate chip muffins instead of a cake. I am not going down that road again right now. Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me the last few weeks and left comments to lift my spirits. You made a difference.
