You can't be friends with a squirrel! A squirrel is just a rat with a cuter outfit.
--Sarah Jessica Parker

I had an interesting confrontation with a very angry squirrel in my yard this morning. I came out with my bike to ride to the park and back. There was a squirrel in the front yard and he was not happy. I had a squirrel friend that I would put food out for several years ago. He was always curious and friendly. The squirrel this morning was having a bad day I guess. He or she was obviously pissed off. I had never even thought about a squirrel screaming. This one was chattering and then screaming. He was racing all over the front yard and racing into the bushes. You could hear him yelling It is the same huge hedge that has rats. They decided to come in the house last year and the Orkin man found their nest in the bushes. Maybe the squirrel was having a disagreement with the rats. It went on for about half an hour. When I would try to leave he would make angry noises and run at me. I finally was able to get out of the house and head out for the park. I guess I am truly a city girl even thought I grew up in the rural south (TN, KY, NC, SC and GA). I let a squirrel chase me into my house and hold me there for 30 minutes.

Oh my god that is too funny. Perhaps you need to give him food soaked in vodka. That would make him very happy.
