Well, I would call this past weekend a success overall!
Friday night was dinner and fun at a friends. I had a little too much wine, but not as much as usual. I only had 2 small pieces of pizza and plenty of fruit and multigrain chips with Salsa. Not bad if I considered what all was there.
Saturday I was exhausted so we slept in, got the dogs walked a couple times and then had Chinese food with the In laws. I only had a small serving of most options, a single cupcake as dessert and a couple glasses of wine. No overboards! YAY!
Sunday, my family had left over Chinese food for lunch, but I opted for a beef wrap with lettuce. I knew my body couldn't possibly handle more of that crap. That was hard enough. I also worked my butt off cleaning house for the Easter dinner I was hosting that evening right down to scrubbing my kitchen floor on hands and knees. They feel great on the feet now!
I loaded up on the veggies we made for dinner last night. Almond beans and honeyed carrots and a super duper spinach and pear salad I found on SP. Seriously, you gotta try it! We also had rack of lamb which was mouth wateringly tasty. I had one piece more than planned. It just was so good and we DON'T do lamb very often. Usually only at Easter. Then we had a cupcake for dessert and a few of the kids chocolates.
I think that I did ok with the chocolate. In comparison with most other years anyways. I'm finding that my sweet tooth wants the sweet delectable chocolate, but my stomach really doesn't. I am learning to have a small amount to satisfy that sweet craving, but not making my stummy ache.
That's progress in my books!
Hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend!
