Beef Stew

Hello Sparkfamily! I hope all of you had a blessed Easter! Here is what I will be cook'in tomorrow! Take a look!


Ingredients~

2 lb. beef roast or stew beef, cubed
2 c. sliced carrots
2 c. diced potatoes (I like to leave the skins on)
1 medium onion, sliced
1 1/2 c. peas
2 tsp. quick-cooking tapioca
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions~

Combine beef and vegetables in slow cooker. Sprinkle with tapioca, salt and pepper.
Combine tomato sauce and water. Pour over ingredients in slow cooker. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Cover. Cook on Low 8 hours.

    That would be a delicious crockpot recipe! Going to try that. Never thought of using tapioca for thickening . . . guessing that's it's purpose in the recipe??

    never thought to use tapioca for the thickener. I used sweet rice flour. Will have to try that
