I'm doing multiple tasks and have lost this blog post twice already, so third time is a charm- Right?
To write about my upcoming Easter I need to back up 8 days.
8 days ago- Started a spring "Bikini blitz" workout run. First one was legs and gluts. Good for me, my lower left abs are sore.
7 days ago- ran a hard, cold, wet 13.5 miles. time was around 9 minutes per mile. Good for me.
6 days ago- woke up feeling very tired and unusually sore (almost pain) OK- heeling up- good for me.
5 days ago- still feel bad, indulge in a sugar/carb/junk food overload. No good for me.
4 days ago- still feel bad, like I'm not recovering or healing, eat a little bad but cleaner, by night I realize I'm getting a bug. another Not good for me
3 days ago- terrible, bad, aches, pains NO RECOVERY from 4/5 day ago workouts. NOT Good for me. Only take in around 1180 calories (normal is 2000 and up)
2 days ago- eating super clean, continue the fruit, veggie, salad, water flush I started yesterday. starting to get better
1 day ago- feel normal, getting cravings. staying with the fruit, veggie, salad, water flush and have added rice and beans plus 3 oz. ham for the day. good for me.
Today- fighting back all sugar cravings, eating super healthy and trying to fuel, stretch, prep for tomorrow.
Easter coming- tomorrow is a morning 5 mile (8k) race. My plan was to go after this one hard and give myself a speed test. Now, I have no idea what will happen. If I feel good after the race, I'll jog/run home (another 6.7 miles). When I get home it's pack up and go to mom's house. Super big huge blown out dinner.
I come form a family of wonderful cooks.
We don't color eggs, we make them as decorated chocolate and filled with cream's, raspberry, coconut, peanut butter, and this is just the first display stand. There will be flower arrangements made out of cookies, then there will be a toy/goodie hunt. So, you see, it is my best interest to get in all those miles and then be so tired that I sleep through most of the eating at my moms house. She is making a special Bavarian Crème with coconut gluten free pie just for me, and there is going to be a few extra calories from that.
Easter Sunday will be me running the restaurant by myself. My co manager is sick and it's going to be busy. The banquet side is going to handle around 750 people eating and seating in waves. My side is 140 people with reservations at all kinds of times and the influx of all walk ins to the building. Big couple of days for me.
Random stuff- we just hired 6 people. Two of these are my solo picks. The manager hasn't even seen them. One has zero restaurant experience and the other was in fast food 6 years ago. Placed my decision on they are both intelligent, are outgoing, and nice people.
That's it for now. Sorry I haven't been around much, kind of busy and tired the previous week.
