Knee Injury

So I'm not sure how bad of an injury I have. But I know I did something.... I was on the elliptical doing my normal routine when I felt a pop in my right knee. It was not painful or anything... But still I got off and flexed, stretched, moved around, it didn't hurt at all. So thinking it's just like when you wake up and your joints pop from time to time, I finished my workout. That was at 10am this morning. By the time I got to work at 2pm it was feeling stiff and starting to swell. Fast forward to now (10pm) and it's still stiff. It doesn't hurt when I'm just sitting here. When I walk it's just kindof a dull ache. The pain is on the top of the knee cap. I've got a dr appt for Monday, so I'm getting that checked along with everything else that needs to be checked. Until then, my mom (who is an RN) has advised me to keep it elevated, ice it, take ibuprofen and relax. This couldn't have happened at a worse time! No gym=no burn, which means I'll have to really be careful as to what I eat. With Easter Sunday coming (a big celebration with my family) I don't know how great the scale is going to look this week. I'm just hoping I pulled or sprained it and that with rest it will get better. I'm not going to be happy if I tore something and need surgery. That will suck. For now, taking it easy and giving myself time to heal.

    Oh gosh! Injuries suck so much! You can stay on track and even keep losing if you can stick to your diet. That's the hard part though. emoticon I hope the injury isn't too serious and you can get back to working out quickly. emoticon

    Take care! Don't push yourself til after you see hour docter. You don't want to hurt yourself more!

    Did you try soaking it in a hot bath? I feel like warm baths can do magical things. I hope it's not too serious! Have a nice Easter!
