Good News

Thursday, April 17, 2014

I had good news that my radiation went smoothly. I will have a checkup in 6 months. I may experience changes in my breast over the next 6 months. I may consider a tuck on the other breast or a balancer if I mind the changes. Nice to know options! I hope my vanity is not great.

My husband seems to be returning to a new normal. He is undergoing changes with his dialysis. He must now use 3 bags at night. We needed to make space for 55 boxes instead of 42. I had my former student help us move key things. We're ready for the shipment of supplies.

He is starting to eat better and move a little. He tries to be helpful. Our cat steals the show and gets the most attention.

So we had a good day today!

Well, it's good to have a normal even if it's a new normal. Glad things seem to be going smoothly.

Well, it's not easy at all adjusting to change, but you are an outstanding example of doing it right.

HUGS! Wishing you both a blessed Easter. emoticon

Glad to hear your news is good, but wish your husband's was better -any chance for a kidney transplant for him? He seems he should be a good candidate.
Wishing you a Blessed Easter.

I'm glad that things are getting better for you, are you your DH's care giver? The reason I ask is we share that in common. I am the care giver for my disabled 22 year old daughter. My 26 year old daughter is also temporarily living with us with her boyfriend. He seems like a nice guy but she has gone through many nice guys in the last few years. I can't help but wonder how long will this relationship last. We didn't want her to live homeless on the streets of Seattle so said she could come home and live here as long as she needed. There is a little bit of disagreement between the two grown daughters, the older pick on the younger. I guess it's just sibling rivalry and I hope they will outgrow it!
I hope that you and your husband and family have a blessed Easter weekend. I do want to say that I think that you are an incredibly brave and courageous woman to be facing your own fight with cancer and still and at the same time taking care of and nursing your husband. I don't know if I could do that,I'm having enough trouble coping with my damaged heart and what is the next step for me and my heart.
Just wanted to respond and ask you to become my SparkFriend, you can learn more about me by reading my SparkPage.

Take care of both of you and best wishes and prayers for a remission and recovery for you both. emoticon emoticon
