scary night

Thursday, April 17, 2014

My DH had a close call last night. While riding to meet some friends for dinner he was rear-ended. He was on his Harley at a stop sign when the woman behind him failed to stop. He flew off the bike and landed on his bike. His bike flew in another direction, the side bags came off and are damaged beyond repair, the seat flew in another direction and is torn up. My DH is, thanks God, ok. Bruised, sore but ok. God certainly watched over him.

What a stressful night for our family.

Today I have been indulging in a bit of emotional eating. I recognize it and I own it. I want to be able to stop the emotional eating altogether, yet when big events like this happen, I still turn to it.

So happy he is going to be fine. He did get check out by a doctor - right? I'm afraid of internal injuries.

I wish people would just concentrate on driving when they are in the car. I'm certain that the "I didn't see him" was actually "I was involved with xyz".
