Waiting Game...

Thursday, April 17, 2014

So, I think my interview went well yesterday. I met with two supervisors and the police lieutenant. I was so nervous and I hope I didn't fidget too much. The LT started off by telling me a little about the job and then they each took turns asking me a series of questions, all the while all 3 of them taking notes with every one of my answers. After they were done questioning me they instructed me to turn over a sheet of paper that had been placed next to where I was seated, and proceeded to go over the training schedule. So that has to be a good sign, right? They told me that the next step was that they would send the applicant packets of those they selected back over to the City's HR department, and the HR department would schedule drug testing and background testing and the like. Then the LT told me I should be hearing back from them soon. I'm hoping that was him telling me I had the job without actually telling me. I hope I'm not getting my hopes up for nothing. Although I do think I did rather well over all. They did seem to like some of my answers. After the interview was done, one of the supervisors gave me a tour of the facilities and introduced me to the people who were working at the time. It was kind of nice to see how the 911 center's set up, even if I don't get the job. Anyways, here's to hoping I get a call back sooner rather than later because I hate the waiting to find out something part! LOL

*Edited to add: Yes, I did remember to send a follow-up Thank you! :)

Sounds like you had a pretty good interview. Good for you. Hoping you get it and that it doesn't take too long to find out.
