Start of a new challenge for my son today
Wednesday, April 16, 2014
I got in a good 3.1 mile walk tonight after dropping my son off at work. We went out to a local community college this afternoon and got him registered to take an Accounting class this summer. He's taken 2 years at his high school and they don't offer any more classes and he wants to get an accounting degree in college. They offer a College Now program where high school students can take classes for 1/2 off so he's taking this class for $126.00 over 10 weeks this summer. He'll hopefully take the accounting II and accounting III classes next fall and winter and then he'll have Accounting I & II done as an incoming freshman once he graduates.
I made another yummy salad this afternoon for lunch after we got home from our appointment at MCC. I stopped and got Kyle some Arby's for lunch and waited until I got home to make the salad. I ate a banana before leaving so I wouldn't be tempted to snack on something less than healthy.
We are going to the awards ceremony for the ROTC students tomorrow. I'm excited to see what award Sarah is getting. We've managed to not let it slip that she's getting something (but it's been hard).
