Holy Week

Wednesday, April 16, 2014

While I am not Jewish and don't celebrate Passover as they do, we too prepare for Easter each year between Palm Sunday and Easter day. We will have a Special Lord's supper prayer service Thursday and a special service on Good Friday. Today, I am focused on giving thanks for Gods Blessings. I am praying that unknown sin become clear that I may repent and be clean for the up coming Lord's Supper service.

Further, while I am not Catholic and do not observe Lent the same as they do, I have been participating in 40 day's of fasting (this year candies) and feasting in God's word (using "Word Snacks"). This will be completed coinciding with Good Friday. I pray these habits continue through out this year as they are so good for me. This is a significant part of my FIT LESSON for 2014. God has made it clear that getting in line my spiritual life to cope with emotional issues will keep me from re gaining up to 242 and having an unhealthy life! It is more important than eating right and exercising, not minimizing the importance of obeying these two steps. They are part of my convictions spiritually. SOZO means healing of Mind, Body and Soul. Accept the blessings and activate them in your life. The gift has been given with Salvation we each have to learn what that means and how to us.

This is a very insightful blog, and I'm delighted that I had the chance to read it! I too like you, celebrate Easter the same way. We'll be having a service in God's church, on Thursday evening as well. If I'm not mistaken it's called Maudy Thursday, which is for us to remember Jesus' last supper, before he was crucified. But, that's not the end of the story, as we have SUNDAY!!! SUNDAY's on it's way!

Be blessed,

I do the sacrifice during Lent although I don't follow any religion. My regret is that I was supposed to do some charitable work these 40 days and it did not happen. So I don't want the year to end without me doing this.

Sounds like you are taking some from different faiths, and God Bless you for your efforts. I am Catholic, and will be involved in our church ceremonies all week. This is the ultimate week for practicing our religion liturgically. Some gripe about how long the services are, but I for one realize the true aspects of each day! Have a Happy Easter!

More people should realize that there are good points to all beliefs, not just the one to which you are exposed at 11:00 on Sunday morning.
