Day 934... Snow

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

We were walking in snow showers this morning. After a few days of 70 degree weather it was a bit of a bummer. As a result I took a second rest day. Of course I still did a little over 120 minutes, but no running or rower.

I had lunch out with an elderly friend, and made much better choices than last time I ate out with him. I even refused dessert. I had another glass of water instead. After lunch I took him shopping. He is very shaky with his walking, so I parked right in front of the store. Usually when I am shopping by myself I park as far away as possible.

I couldn't get warm this afternoon, so I turned on the heater and wrapped up in a blanket with the dog in my lap and read for a while. I finally got warm, then had to take Cooper out for his evening walk and got cold again. Sigh. I am so ready for Summer. I was warmer kayaking on Sunday than I was just walking today, and most of the lake is still ice.

Nice you took time for your friend. Good for you. Warm weather is just around the corner. emoticon My promise is to never complain about the heat, no matter what. I am just so sick of being cold.
