Fitness Blog

14392 was my Fitbit step count for last night. On track for a Ten K Steps a day fitness plan for the Ten K Steps a day group on my Sparkpeople profile. I did the 45 minutes treadmill walking with hand weights, and 15 minutes on the fitness bike that is the normal amount needed for 10,000 steps daily. Ten thousand steps a day was supported by fitness studies researched by the U.S. Surgeon General (2001 and 2007) “A daily target of 10,000 steps was first proposed. The target has been recommended by the US Surgeon General and by the UK Department of Health.” (Wikipeadia.org “Pedometer” entry 2013)
