Things are falling in place...

Monday, April 14, 2014

A few months back, I boxed up clothes that I no longer wanted to see in the closet. They were depressing me everything I had to get dressed for the day. It was like staring at failure every day. Anyhow, tonight I went though the boxes and sorted out what to give to the Salvation Army, what to sell to Platos Closet and what to give one more try.

To my delight, I found the sizes ranged from 10-14. Right now, I am a size 16/18 and at 203. (I saw a weight loss this week!) Maybe I will be able to wear those 14s again soon! I don't know if I will be able to wear the shorts this summer. I would need to lose like 25 pounds like instantly which isn't reasonable. I am doing this one step at a time, one pound at a time.

On April 4th, I was 205 and now today, April 14th, I am floating between 204.6 and 203. To be honest, I think the difference is sodium and level of hydration. My first goal is 200 by May 1st.

Besides weight, my other goal is to run a half marathon in June. I can run 4 miles on the treadmill but struggle with doing it outside. I've been adding inclines and trying to walk around more. I will probably see how training goes and how I feel around the 8-10 mile long runs. I would like to do this because my friend said she'd run it with me! emoticon

Last week, I went on 5 (I think!) interviews. Today I got a phone call from one of them. They offered me to start on Mondays until my current ends. We basically are trying it out to see if they like my design skills and if I like them. This is an exciting and scary opportunity. If my skills are not up to par, I may not have a job offer, after all. That's the scary part. The exciting part is meeting new people and starting a new job where I would be standing. I know for most people standing is not a positive. For me, it is. I hate my sedentary desk job and miss the people-orientated, moving and grooving job. This job sounds like it would be a good thing for me. It would be a 12-8 so I SHOULD be able to work out before work. With summer coming up, that will be nice. I might even get a different gym membership so I can workout after work if I want. I am waiting to hear back from one more place and I will still to apply to other places. If I do go with this job, I will probably go back and finish my associate degree in Graphic Design that I started in 2004. I am not sure if they are even still good but I think it'd be good if I had a Graphic Design degree if that is the path I want to go toward. It is really nice to see things falling in place. A week ago, my landlord agreed to sign another year for my current apartment. Now, I have a job offer. My biggest fear is "what if" I don't find a job and I have all these expenses.

Hope you all had a good weekend! emoticon

I bagged up several shirts a few months ago, I still haven't taken them anywhere yet. I was happy that one shirt that I really liked fit, because it didn't when I bought it. I know I should have tried it on, because it was a big size and I figured it would fit.

Good luck on the new job.
