Following is a copy of a post from Facebook from a little over a week ago......

The first thing Hubby said when he came in last night was boy Bruiser has gotten fat....Scamp, who eats anything that don't eat him first, has been fat for a while. I chalked it up to getting them fixed. But I think it is because we were feeding Scamp cheep dog food and feeding Bruiser the same food as the puppies which was Iams Puppy Food. So that tonight we had to get more dog food and we have put the two Chubby Puppies on diet food. I am curious as to how fast they will lose weight.....hope it is faster than I lose weight!

We separate all the dogs when we feed them....Scamp will wolf down his food and make a bee line to eat everyone's feed dish to help them. He is the biggest and pretty much can take anyone's food without much of a challenge. Padre caught him lying on the floor beside Cody's kennel and sticking his tongue through the wires and eating Cody's food a piece at a time like an ant eater. That was before his diet food. Of course another problem is ....always with Cody, Diva and Bruiser is. . . will they like it enough to eat it. Cody and Diva are really crazy eaters I think their dish holds about 3/4 of a cup of feed each. ...which takes them Breakfast and Supper time to eat . . if they eat it all......it takes Diva two days sometimes to eat that...of course with the supplemental feedings of rabbit poo and dandelions and other grasses and weeds they find in the yard maybe that is all they need. When I gave them their bath Friday night they were not skinny....so I guess they are doing ok on their feed.

We gave Bruiser his supper a little while ago....the new diet food......and the kitten, Stretch came and started eating his food. He sat there and waited till his kitten had all he wanted then Bruiser cleaned out his dish. I guess he liked it and as usual Scamp licked his bowl clean. Scamp weighs 26.2 pounds and Bruiser weighs 14.8 pounds....we will check back on their weight in a week. (FYI Stretch weighs 7.2 pounds). He eats all the time....we called him Garfield for the first few days. Remember?

Well that is what is happening here ...wet and fat doggies. Hubby is changing filters and I am working on keeping everyone fed and healthy. It is still a Blessed Sunday. I am thankful for the rain....

How is your day. . .

I am now Happy to Report.....a week of the new food: Scamp now weighs 18.6 for a loss of 7.6 pounds and Bruiser his now 12.2 pounds for a loss of 2.6. I had lost one pound.

I am in the middle of preparing for Easter dinner. And of course that includes sweets. I made Cream puff shells yesterday .....and I will make the cream later in the week. I am also making a Vanilla and Chocolate Marbled Flourless Cake for the chocolate lovers. Have boiled my fresh beets and eggs and have made my pickled eggs. I must run to town to get my ham and a few other things and then I have got to get to cleaning and cooking. Hope to rest in between so I don't get down in the back.

Hope you all have a Blessed Week......don't forget why we celebrate. . .with all the bunnies and chickies..... There was a Lamb that was slain for us.

Hmmm, maybe we should try eating the diet doggy food??? Seems to work like a charm for them! Of course I don't plan on supplementing with rabbit (or cat) poo so maybe I will be missing out on something!

Amen, I wish it was that easy for us! Good for your dogs, though, it is amazing the amount of sugar in many dog foods and treats. We have a diabetic Siberian Huskey who gets insulin so we have to watch that pretty quickly. He looked like we hated him when we cut out the junk treats and put him on his diet, but he is lean and mean looking now, not really a little sweetie.
