Concentrate on the Positives!

Concentrate on the Positives -- and let the negatives go!

Just that one little sentence could turn your whole life around. If all you thought about were the positives in your life there would be no stress eating! After all, you are concentrating on all the good things, it's when the negatives occupy your thoughts that the bad feelings come and you eat to overcome it.

Not only that, but when you are concentrating on the positives you have a much happier outlook on life. That means you will have more energy, you'll sleep better, be more productive, your choices will be better and there will be no depression!

So come on, there are lots of positives to concentrate on! Here are a few of mine:

I slept soundly last night, woke up full of energy!

Got up at 6:45, sure I wanted to snuggle in bed awhile longer, but I didn't!

Got in a 45 minute walk and accomplished it all by 7:30 a.m., normally I would have still been in bed sleeping, but now I've already got half my steps in!

I had a very healthy protein smoothie for my breakfast! I love them!

No coyotes following us on our walk this morning! emoticon

Now tell me some of YOUR positives in the comment section below! Come on, I know you've got them!

I enjoyed this blog very much! emoticon

emoticon that to zero in on the positives is very important.

The negatives need prayer covering & attention in working to better them --- positively turning them into positives.

There are many positives in Ima's life this beautiful day in April 2014 ---

Went to bed at 10:30pm & slept straight through until 7:30am (not even getting up once for a bathroom visit & that was after drinking my normal glass of water before bed) --- now that is a positive-positive in this gal's book.

Enjoyed my quiet time with the Lord! Covered family members in prayer for peace & comfort (as well as travel mercies), as we face the funeral of my dear Aunt tomorrow afternoon.

Finished up this semester of Bible study classes this morning --- already looking forward to rejoining that much-loved group of Sisters, after the summer break (not wishing away a moment of the summer in that "already looking forward..." --- just know the great enjoyment to come for us all, through another PUP study of a Book in the Word of God).

Didn't allow myself to cave for the temptations on offer at the end of the year fellowship luncheon. Instead choose to enjoy my homemade veggie split-pea at home with my beloved MrV. That is after opted for a "cuppa" tea, instead of going for the goodies (refreshments) on offer during the actual study.

Enjoyed the beautiful crisp & fresh cool mountain air, as I got some good walking time in, as well as, other daily exercise completed.

Received & hopefully shared encouragements here in "Sparkville".

God bless us with the instant ability to zero in on the blessings of our minutes!

Pushing 50! I take no meds! for anything. 3 kids (frequent source of worry!) but they are all lovely smart talented people who really are just going thru life's struggles as a young adults, it's not their goal to worry me really LOL Hard working husband who thinks I'm a all right still after nearly 29 years in June. :) Starting at square one today. Yesterday was a bad mindset day but I spring cleaned all day...emptied the bad from my head and the dust bunnies from the house. Starting the quest for smaller me anew today. No garbage trigger food purchased at market. Good step in the right direction. Just shared a HUGE laugh with my daughter! Laughter is GOOD always! I have time to exercise today in peace. The fact that I can exercise!
Thanks for the great blog Eve. As always love your positive thoughts and how your spread them around.
Have a great day!
Carol

I got up this morning without a lot of pain in my back, hips, and thighs. That's always a good start to my day. emoticon

Hubby is home again! I slept well for the first time since last Wednesday.

I got my courage up this morning and called my dr's nurse and asked if she will see if the dr will change my thyroid med back to what it was before my last appt - and gave her the logic for the change. Only one of which is the seven pounds that I have gained since the change.

I have lots of projects, big and small, to do that I enjoy doing. I've completed some projects that I had to do, but didn't want to do. So I feel accomplished.

I cooked some great chicken and some tomato stew and consequently don't have to cook for a couple of days. So I can work on my fun projects.

I have great friends on line and in person. emoticon

All in all, it's another great day!

The sun is pouring in the patio doors, I have a chair I can set up outside to read in the sun, my newsppr awaits, the scale was where I wanted it to be this morning, I have an open day ahead of me and yes, I am ALIVE!

You get more bang for the buck being active in the morning as it sets the metabolism higher for the day. As for losing weight, if your hormones are out of whack then more exercise isn't going to do any good.
