Making Small Progress

This will be a short blog because I am pretty tired. I just wanted to write real quick on some progress that I am happy about that does not involve the scale.
So, yesterday I saw I reviewed my nutrition and noticed problem areas. One being Starbucks and other drinks with empty calories. This is actually related to getting decent sleep. If I get decent sleep than I wouldn't want coffee to keep me wake.
Other things I need to work on is increasing protein, eating less sodium, drinking more water, getting more sleep. But, let's tackle one thing at a time.
Today was the first day all week that I stay in range which includes treating myself to cookies. Basically, I was good all day that I was able to 'afford' the calories in cookies!
Besides that, I walked to work which is 30 minutes each way. I feel good about that. This week I can feel the extra pounds slowing me down and not have the energy I used to have. One step at a time, I will get there. Tonight, I was able to just enjoy a night watching movies because I already exercised through out the day.
