Just wanted to pop in real quick and post an update on my knee. I decided to do an easy 2 mile run yesterday since my knee seemed to be doing better, and I wanted to see how it would hold up. I thought I had packed my knee brace in my gym bag, but I didnt. I did pack my Garmin, though, and since it was 75 degrees out (!!!) I decided to run outside :) I planned to run at an easy pace so as not to push myself. I ended up running at my half marathon pace (10:30 min/mile) without even trying! And the best part was that my knee felt really good! Yay!!! I stretched afterwards, and then went home and did a 25 minute pilates workout on youtube. Fun! And then I cooked a healthy dinner. That's right - I cooked meals twice during the week this week!

My stabilizing muscles around my knee still feel a little weak, but I am working on that, icing, elevating when at home, etc. But I am feeling good that my knee will be back to normal soon. Tonight I have jazz dance class and I will take it easy in class tonight, and wear my brace, since we do a lot of "on the floor, off the floor" type things. I have a long run on my schedule this weekend, but I am going ot play it by ear. The weather will be in the 60s on Saturday so I defintely want to get in a run outside and then its going to snow on Sunday. Boo. I ordered KT tape online on Sunday so I am hoping it is here by tomorrow so I can try it out on my run this weekend!
