In January and February, I started having pain in my arm after a fall an a boxing class. I did what any runner would do and just ran and worked out through the pain until it became unbearable. After doctors and tests, it turned out to be a tear in one of the tendons around the rotator cuff and some damage to the ulnar nerve.
I had to reassess my goals for the NIke Women's Marathon in DC because speed work was nearly impossible (I can't pump my arms back) but I kept up with my routine by running and adding spin. However, I am going to give it my all and most importantly, lay down the strong base for the NYC marathon! My half PR stands at 1:57 and I'm hoping that I will crush it in the fall!
PT is going well but I'm seeing improvement in my injury! And hoping that it also means positive things for my running form!

Things have been very good and busy with race training, work, girls on the run, and the beautiful weather in Chicago! SPRING is FINALLY here - and thank gosh, it couldn't have come soon enough!
