Busy day good news and other news.

Tuesday, April 08, 2014

Our son here in Maine at our home has been accepted and expects to begin working on Friday night.
I did talk to our oldest son in N Y and our GD had to be taken to the Drs and she has a STREP throat, She has so many of these. At one time they wanted to do a tonsillectomy, used to be they were removed if there are many episodes. One year she was on so much antibiotics I lost count.
She is home our son is trying to do a little work at home but he really needs to be at the plant. DGD and now DGS also has a sore throat but he came back negative for strep.

I am weary and off to my bed it has been a very long day Pat in Maine.
Thanks for your comments you keep me here because if I cannot blog I have no clue what I would do. Pat

Too bad GD has strep! My kids had a lot of that. Great news that your son is starting that job!! That will help everyone get in a routine. And, make him feel better!

A friend's daughter had her tonsils removed in February because she had so many strep throat episodes last year. It seemed that she was always missing school. I understand she is doing much better without tonsils.

Well, for sure antibiotics will take care of the strep . . . eventually. But unless your GD is taking something like yogurt or kefir to replace the good flora in the gut (which is hugely responsible for our bodies' immune system function) it gets to be a problem. Antibiotics, while they kill off the bad bacteria causing infection also causes the GOOD flora to die off too. So, hope she's taking yogurt or kefir. That would help matters.

As for the tonsils, seems like if she's had so many infections, that tonsillectomy might be an inevitability. **SIGH**

Glad your DS is starting work on Friday. Good luck

HUGS and prayer.s.

Pat, glad your DS has that job. Moving forward. When my two DDs were young one had a sore throat the other had strep. The one with the sore throat was worse. Pray things change for the better for your son in NY. HUGS, Terry

I hope that the New York Grandchildren begin to feel better very soon over this. I had my tonsils and adenoids out twice. First time 3 or4 and again when I was 17 years old. Maybe if both of them would have them out it would help stop the sore throats and improve their health a lot. Think about it. And ask the doctors about it too. So happy to hear your Son that lives with you got the job and will be start back to work Friday night. It is a long way back and forth but he will make it. Hope he has a 4 wheel drive Car or SUV. He will need it back in Maine with the weather you have back there. God Blessings Always. Have a Wonderful Week. Sending Prayers and Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!! Your Way. Take Care..

Yes they used to operate and remove the tonsils and adnoids. the older the child or adult the more risky complications are. I hope she begins to feel better. her brother as well.
